Meet Yvonne Recchia

yvonne Yvonne Recchia, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with a specialized focus on women's mental health and emotional well-being. She earned her graduate degree from Portland State University and has gained a wealth of experience in social work across a range of environments—from healthcare settings, community outreach and social activism programs.

At the heart of her practice is the belief that each individual has the capacity for their own healing and she is merely there to help facilitate this process.  Yvonne employs a multi-modal therapeutic approach, drawing on her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

She possesses a diverse skill set capable of addressing a variety of challenges, including depression, life stage transitions, and anxiety, with a particular focus on serving women and female-identifying clients. An active member of the NASW ( National Association of Social Workers), Yvonne is committed to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.

On a personal note, Yvonne has been a resident of Portland for nearly 30 years and deeply cherishes the natural beauty and community spirit of Oregon.  A mother to a daughter and 2 cats, and one of 13 siblings, Yvonne enjoys time with her family, gardening, travel and challenging herself to try new things.
